My husband and I got married here on September 9th and it was by far more magical and perfect than I ever dreamed. The staff was SOO helpful and they are such easy people to talk to. They take all of your thoughts, and visions and help make them become a reality. They are willing to go above and beyond to make the day go smoothly. Adrian is a HUGE asset and does a lot behind the scenes to make everything go off without a hitch. And you can tell that Sharon and her husband love owning this business and being part of peoples special days. They were great! We loved that we were there for the weekend and all of our friends and family could be on site for the weekend with no worries. We could just relax have a great time and enjoy the moments of a busy weekend. I have zero complaints. We recently had our wedding at Mountain Star Estate and it was everything I could have hoped for, and more.
To provide some background, there was an ownership change as I was planning my wedding. The new owners, Sharon and Trav, made the process SEAMLESS. They were quick to respond, and honored everything from the previous owners.
The venue’s manager, Adrian, was simply AMAZING throughout my entire planning process. She promptly answered every text, call, email, and provided moral support to help me stay calm during every step of the way. When the wedding weekend arrived, Adrian pulled long days to help coordinate every last detail. I didn’t have to worry about a thing logistically, because she was on top of it. Honestly, Adrian is an angel sent from above and definitely made the entire process as easy as possible.
Now that we’ve covered the people, let’s talk about venue itself. Before we even got engaged, I had been eyeing Mountain Star. When we did our initial visit, I was hooked (and it was the dead of winter mind you). Everything about the venue is gorgeous. The views of the mountains and lake from the ceremony site are to die for. The barn itself is a work of art. And what I loved most was the farmhouse on the property, which comfortably accommodated our large wedding party, their significant others, our parents, and more. The fire pit was stocked and poppin’ all weekend, and it was so convenient that our VIP’s didn’t have to leave the property once. We even hosted the rehearsal dinner on the farmhouse porch!
Another great thing about Mountain Star is that we didn’t need to rent much! It comes with most items one could need to host a large group.

Everything about our experience with mountain star estate exceeded our expectations. Both the owner Sharon and the venue coordinator Adrian went to lengths to make sure our day was everything we imaged. They put out fires (including making centerpiece garlands when my florals never arrived!), thought of all the extra things to make the day that much more magical, and helped us every step of the way. The farmhouse is so charming, the barn is BEAUTIFUL, the honeymoon suite is a dream and the fire pits created such a fun environment for us all to hang out by. If you want a beautiful venue with an amazing place for friends and family to stay, with the best Maine vibes, this is your place. Thank you again Sharon and Adrian for all of your hard work!

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, and everyone at the mountain star estate helped make it possible. We felt incredibly welcome on the property the whole weekend, and the owner and event coordinator were there just in case we needed anything. They were in contact with our vendors throughout the process, so the day of the wedding all we had to do was enjoy our family and friends. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’ll carry the memories with us for the rest of our lives. I can’t thank the staff at Mountain Star Estate enough for everything they did for us.

Easy to give this venue a 5 star rating. Located in beautiful, picturesque Rangeley Maine. The owner and wedding planner were quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process. They welcomed us upon arrival and made the process stress free. We were able to enjoy two evenings in the farmhouse with the wedding party. There were spaces for the bride and groom to get ready without seeing one another and a beautiful cottage for them to stay at after the wedding. Updates to the farmhouse made accommodations comfortable for all. Adrian is a pro at making sure everything goes smoothly from rehearsal to wedding send off. I would highly recommend this venue.

My husband and I were lucky enough to use this venue for our winter wedding in December. Our experience was nothing short of amazing! The venue space itself is spectacular and truly gives you a home away from home feel. The attention to detail is wonderful, the farmhouse was extremely well kept, and the facility itself was easy for family and friends to get around. Adrian is the best of the best – she’s your friend, advice giver, planner, and biggest cheerleader. We are so lucky to be able to have experienced our most special day here and can’t wait to return to visit!

Mountain Star Estate was a one stop shop for our wedding weekend! One of the best features about this venue is the package options that provide [everything] you need (on site housing, ceremony site, reception site, tables, chairs, flatware, glasses, etc.). No need for countless rental agreements from different companies. The location/ambiance was PERFECT for my husband (from the mountains) and myself (from the ocean). The team was very supportive and helpful throughout the wedding process.
We had potential for rain during the ceremony and there were contingency plans in place to hold the ceremony in the barn if needed. (Great piece of mind!) Luckily the sun held out and we were able to use the incredible ceremony site a short path walk up from the barn with the backdrop of Rangeley Lake below. The barn venue had plenty of space (comfortable/cosy in a good way) for just over 100 guests. I used local (Rangeley, ME) vendors for catering and flowers who work closely with MSE – another benefit.
Guest housing availability on site and very close by (within a mile) made this venue a great choice for us as everyone was traveling from out of state. I loved having the Honeymoon Suite to ourselves right next to the Farm House. We held our rehearsal dinner at the Farm House in a relaxed BBQ buffet that we brought in. Low-key and fun!
If you are looking for a rustic/barn venue that has an easygoing and elegant feel offering a phenomenal package – look no further. MSE is the best option out there – I know, I looked at every barn venue in the greater northeast and nothing compared.

What a beautiful place to hold a wedding, with a wonderful opportunity to feel ‘ownership’ and truly host your family and friends as if you were home. We booked the whole estate for 3 nights and had our bridal party and immediate families stay on-site. It felt like a Thanksgiving weekend, except it was our summer wedding! The farmhouse is perfect for doing your own rehearsal dinner and morning-after brunch to save on costs in an already expensive situation, and makes for a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor space provides a perfect landscape for socializing, playing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air of Rangeley. Kid and pet-friendly, plus breathtaking backdrops for photos (especially in lupine season!). The night sky is spectacular given limited ambient lighting and the fire pit lends an intimacy to the evenings. The reception Barn is a perfect canvas for making your personal Wedding vision come to life, and the owners are an incredibly talented and thoughtful couple of builders/designers who will make just about any vision come to fruition. Recommend to bring/hire a day-of coordinator to manage schedule and communication with vendors, bridal party, guests, etc., and to clarify what will incur additional expenses if budget is a concern. We had 100 guests very comfortably fit.
