We could not be more overjoyed with our experience at Mountain Star Estate. Sharon and Trav made us feel welcome immediately on arrival, and every one of our guests felt the same. We hired Adrian as our Event Coordinator, and between the two of them, the weekend went seamlessly. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue, a more smooth weekend and more fun people to help us throw the party of our lives. The venue is huge, but tight nit enough that you can walk from one place to another without any trouble. The farmhouse was spacious enough for our entire wedding party and we were thankful for the private honeymoon suite that we could retire to without interruptions. We can’t thank Sharon, Trav and Adrian enough for making this the best weekend of our lives and making it just as important to them that weekend.

We got married here on October 4th, 2025, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend. Sharon and Trav went above and beyond to ensure that we did not have to worry about anything and that we could enjoy our special day. Adrian also ensured that everything was organized by communicating with our vendors and allowing us to focus on each other and our family. This team genuinely cares about you and makes you and your loved ones feel like family. The ability to have 30 of our closest friends and family with us at The Farmhouse all weekend was incredible and so unique. The Barn was a perfect place to host our reception, with its size and aesthetic. The team worked seamlessly, and we didn’t have to focus on anything other than us. We cannot share enough positive things about this venue and team it’s the best decision we made during the planning process! The pictures speak for themselves you need to go visit!

We had a fantastic experience with Sharon and Adrian who were able to provide a wonderful and seamless day. We even forgot some things and they were able to help out with the odds and ends. Adrian was truly a blessing in disguise. Her expertise and passion for the day was what made it that much better. I would highly recommend Mountain Star Estate for your wedding. We would even go back and throw another event if we found one to host! Plus you can’t beat Rangeley Maine for its ability to host a lot of people with the camps and lodges.

Sharon +Trav (owners) and Adrian (venue manager + coordinator) made our wedding day/weekend so special, peaceful, and fun. Everything went so smoothly and we did not have to worry about a single thing. They were all so kind, personable, and professional. All of our guests have been since complimenting the beauty of the venue and the kindness of staff.
It was so special to have our family and wedding party stay the weekend in the farmhouse. It truly is gorgeous, and feels so homey. Our wedding parties were able to get ready separately in the farmhouse due to its unique layout. The honeymoon suite is something out of a magazine – so charming and romantic.
Having the lodging, ceremony, and reception all in one location makes Mountain Stare Estate so special. They also provide the tables, cutlery, plates, chairs, glasses and so much more. This took a lot of stress away, not having to search for expensive rentals.
We would chose Mountain Star Estate over and over again and highly recommend !!! ❤️HannahMarried September 2024I spent FOREVER trying to find just the right venue for our wedding but the search was over as soon as we found Mountain Star Estate. The moment we visited and saw the site in person and met Sharon (one of the owners) and Adrian (the venue manager and Day-of-Coordinator), we didn’t want to look any further.
The Venue – Not only is the setting amazing but the venue itself is absolutely one of a kind. The barn, ceremony site, bridal suite, and farmhouse are all uniquely beautiful. The vibe is natural, rustic, and elegant, and I was able to easily bring our vision to life without having to add a lot of extras because the space was already beautiful on its own. The farmhouse is so beautiful and charming and it makes a fantastic setting for the bridal party to gather for the weekend. The fact that we could comfortably have our family with us for the whole weekend and no one had to travel between lodging, ceremony site, and reception site was so special and it considerably cut down on stress and costs. There are also numerous other lodging options very close by for the rest of your guests, so no one has to travel far. The separate bridal suite was also a huge decision-making factor for me since I could have my own beautiful and calming space (with romantic views looking up to the barn) and not have to be in the hustle and bustle of the farmhouse if I needed a moment away. It was also a fantastic space for getting ready the morning of the wedding.
The People – Perhaps the biggest selling point for Mountain Star Estate is the people you end up working with. Sharon and Travis are both super friendly, excited, welcoming, and helpful. Adrian, the venue manager is also available to hire as a day-of-coordinator and she was an ENORMOUS help. She was able to guide us through all our decisions and help us with the planning and execution. She’s also an absolute delight to work with, knows all the nitty gritty details, and is just a super lovely person. Sharon and Adrian also had THE BEST suggestions for vendors. We chose to use people that they loved working with and they were all phenomenal (we used The Good Food Store, Celebration Corporation, and Riverside Greenhouse).
The Location – Rangeley is BEAUTIFUL! There are so many things to do in a relatively small area, the people were exceptionally nice, and the food was delicious! We stayed for a week after the wedding with a lot of our family and a quick search through Rangeley’s Chamber of Commerce site gave us a jam-packed itinerary of hikes, shopping, waterfalls, adventure sports, and dining. It was a truly special vacation experience to cap off our amazing wedding weekend.
The Value – When I first looked at this venue I was concerned about our budget, but after doing the research I discovered that there is so much value at Mountain Star Estate that it was going to be a much smarter choice than other comparable venues I had looked at. Mountain Star has its own beautiful tables (that don’t require linens), linen-style paper napkins, dishes and silverware, and gorgeous chairs so you don’t have to spend extra money on rentals. The barn is already so characterful and tasteful that you can keep your decorations fairly minimal and it will still be lovely. They have a beautiful permanent arbor at the ceremony site so no extra cost needed there. The site is completely private and everything is in one spot so you don’t have to worry about transportation (unless you want a shuttle for those staying off site).
Choosing Mountain Star Estate was the best thing we could have done. Our big day was beautiful, the people we worked with were wonderful, and our guests raved about the whole experience. The staff was SOO helpful and they are such easy people to talk to. They take all of your thoughts, and visions and help make them become a reality. They are willing to go above and beyond to make the day go smoothly. Adrian is a HUGE asset and does a lot behind the scenes to make everything go off without a hitch. And you can tell that Sharon and her husband love owning this business and being part of peoples special days. They were great! We loved that we were there for the weekend and all of our friends and family could be on site for the weekend with no worries. We could just relax have a great time and enjoy the moments of a busy weekend. I have zero complaints. To provide some background, there was an ownership change as I was planning my wedding. The new owners, Sharon and Trav, made the process SEAMLESS. They were quick to respond, and honored everything from the previous owners.
The venue’s manager, Adrian, was simply AMAZING throughout my entire planning process. She promptly answered every text, call, email, and provided moral support to help me stay calm during every step of the way. When the wedding weekend arrived, Adrian pulled long days to help coordinate every last detail. I didn’t have to worry about a thing logistically, because she was on top of it. Honestly, Adrian is an angel sent from above and definitely made the entire process as easy as possible.
Now that we’ve covered the people, let’s talk about venue itself. Before we even got engaged, I had been eyeing Mountain Star. When we did our initial visit, I was hooked (and it was the dead of winter mind you). Everything about the venue is gorgeous. The views of the mountains and lake from the ceremony site are to die for. The barn itself is a work of art. And what I loved most was the farmhouse on the property, which comfortably accommodated our large wedding party, their significant others, our parents, and more. The fire pit was stocked and poppin’ all weekend, and it was so convenient that our VIP’s didn’t have to leave the property once. We even hosted the rehearsal dinner on the farmhouse porch!
Another great thing about Mountain Star is that we didn’t need to rent much! It comes with most items one could need to host a large group.
Our weekend was simply perfect, and we have the wonderful staff to thank for that. Both the owner Sharon and the venue coordinator Adrian went to lengths to make sure our day was everything we imaged. They put out fires (including making centerpiece garlands when my florals never arrived!), thought of all the extra things to make the day that much more magical, and helped us every step of the way. The farmhouse is so charming, the barn is BEAUTIFUL, the honeymoon suite is a dream and the fire pits created such a fun environment for us all to hang out by. Located in beautiful, picturesque Rangeley Maine. The owner and wedding planner were quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process. They welcomed us upon arrival and made the process stress free. We were able to enjoy two evenings in the farmhouse with the wedding party. There were spaces for the bride and groom to get ready without seeing one another and a beautiful cottage for them to stay at after the wedding. Updates to the farmhouse made accommodations comfortable for all. Adrian is a pro at making sure everything goes smoothly from rehearsal to wedding send off. I would highly recommend this venue.

The venue space itself is spectacular and truly gives you a home away from home feel. The attention to detail is wonderful, the farmhouse was extremely well kept, and the facility itself was easy for family and friends to get around. Adrian is the best of the best – she’s your friend, advice giver, planner, and biggest cheerleader. We are so lucky to be able to have experienced our most special day here and can’t wait to return to visit!

Good morning! I know you are new owners, so i wanted to share my wedding photos with you to use as you would like! I got married there October 15th,2022 and it could not have been more perfect <3. I think Adrian is gold and she made everything easy for us! It’s a stunning venue and we are beyond blessed to have gotten married there <3SierraMarried on 10/15/22Mountain Star Estate was a one stop shop for our wedding weekend! One of the best features about this venue is the package options that provide [everything] you need (on site housing, ceremony site, reception site, tables, chairs, flatware, glasses, etc.). No need for countless rental agreements from different companies. The location/ambiance was PERFECT for my husband (from the mountains) and myself (from the ocean). The team was very supportive and helpful throughout the wedding process.
We had potential for rain during the ceremony and there were contingency plans in place to hold the ceremony in the barn if needed. (Great piece of mind!) Luckily the sun held out and we were able to use the incredible ceremony site a short path walk up from the barn with the backdrop of Rangeley Lake below. The barn venue had plenty of space (comfortable/cosy in a good way) for just over 100 guests. I used local (Rangeley, ME) vendors for catering and flowers who work closely with MSE – another benefit.
Guest housing availability on site and very close by (within a mile) made this venue a great choice for us as everyone was traveling from out of state. I loved having the Honeymoon Suite to ourselves right next to the Farm House. We held our rehearsal dinner at the Farm House in a relaxed BBQ buffet that we brought in. Low-key and fun!
If you are looking for a rustic/barn venue that has an easygoing and elegant feel offering a phenomenal package – look no further. MSE is the best option out there – I know, I looked at every barn venue in the greater northeast and nothing compared.AmandaMarried on 08/17/2019What a beautiful place to hold a wedding, with a wonderful opportunity to feel ‘ownership’ and truly host your family and friends as if you were home. We booked the whole estate for 3 nights and had our bridal party and immediate families stay on-site. It felt like a Thanksgiving weekend, except it was our summer wedding! The farmhouse is perfect for doing your own rehearsal dinner and morning-after brunch to save on costs in an already expensive situation, and makes for a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor space provides a perfect landscape for socializing, playing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air of Rangeley. Kid and pet-friendly, plus breathtaking backdrops for photos (especially in lupine season!). The night sky is spectacular given limited ambient lighting and the fire pit lends an intimacy to the evenings. The reception Barn is a perfect canvas for making your personal Wedding vision come to life, and the owners are an incredibly talented and thoughtful couple of builders/designers who will make just about any vision come to fruition. Recommend to bring/hire a day-of coordinator to manage schedule and communication with vendors, bridal party, guests, etc., and to clarify what will incur additional expenses if budget is a concern. We had 100 guests very comfortably fit.
